In Case of an Emergency

We See Emergencies

A medical emergency is a frightening experience. We handle most of our patient's emergencies because we know that it is comforting to see a familiar face that knows you and your pet.

In the event of an emergency during our normal office hours please call ahead if possible and proceed directly to our practice.

Please note that we only see after-hour emergencies for our established clients. If you have an after-hours emergency, please call our office at (302) 239-5415 and follow the prompts for the emergency service. For after-hour emergencies, we usually take calls up until approximately 10 p.m. We have found our late night emergency cases are generally very ill with many requiring hospitalization. In order to provide continuous care, after 10 p.m. we usually refer to our local veterinary 24 hour critical care facilities. These outstanding emergency centers will assist you with your pet's medical or surgical emergency and contact us, your family veterinarian, for continued follow-up care.
